Issuing a divorce petition

It’s easy to issue your own petition, you don’t need to pay a solicitor £500-£1500 to do this for you, or even to use an on-line service.

Just download a divorce petition form D8 from the government website and follow the instructions to fill it in. You know your own personal details better than any solicitor, and are less likely to make a mistake.

If you need help with any part of your petition, I can advise you for a very small charge, and I can check it over for you when you’ve finished to ensure the form’s all properly completed.
